real estate: Negative Feedback isn't always a bad thing - 01/12/15 12:40 PM
To whoever has created the myth, that negative feedback is a bad thing was a pessimist. When it comes to real estate, or anything in general for that matter, you have to be the glass half full type of person. When you get a negative report on documents such as inspections, yes it might be a little disheartening at first, but in the long run it helps you. It allows you to fix everything that you need to in order to get the full value for your home. Negative feedback should be used and looked at as constructive criticism! It enables you from … (2 comments)

real estate: Illuminating your Home will make a Difference - 01/05/15 02:23 PM
One tip that I have for any seller, whether it be a real estate agent or a consumer, is to turn on ALL your lights before having an event such as an open house or showing. There are two reasons for this:
The first being, this will insure your potential buyers that all the lights in the house work. Whether it be the porch lights or the lights in the kitchen. Even if it is the daylight, it really does help with insuring your buyers that all the lights are functional.
The second reason, it really changes up a room's appearance … (3 comments)

real estate: A great way to clean your house: Sell it. - 11/28/14 09:15 AM
Before you say anything, I don't mean every time you clean your house its time to sell. That would be very hard! Nor do I mean, don't clean your house just sell it. Well... what exactly do I mean?
The number one thing I have stressed in most of my blog posts, is de-cluttering. De-cluttering is a really important step when it comes time to selling. I can not stress it enough. It can change the appearance of the whole house, let alone the whole room.
If you want some good advice on de-cluttering, check out my other posts.
The point … (0 comments)

real estate: Does the signature portion of a post matter? - 07/25/14 08:46 AM
Recently, I was looking through some of the posts here on Active Rain, and I came across a Home Stager who had a signature at the bottom of her posts.
At first, I didn't even know it was a signature, because it just said on top:
"Posted By:"
And it had her information, along with her picture and some cool fonts! It looked really good! I mean, let's admit it, if I had just read a blog post and it was amazing, I would want to know who this person is. But I, and others, would be very lazy to actually … (29 comments)

real estate: Gifts and Clients - 07/23/14 09:14 AM
So I don't know about you guys, but I like to give gifts to my clients after we have closed on a house! It's just a sweet little gesture I like to have, just to show I really appreciate them choosing me as their real estate agent!
But giving gifts has always been the hardest thing for me! I'm the type of person to give gift cards! But that's so impersonal! So I came up with this really cute idea! Picture Frames!
Picture Frames are the perfect gift for new homeowners! And its very easy and inexpensive to get!

The one pictured … (4 comments)

real estate: New Real Estate Agents: Why do many of them Quit? - 07/13/14 08:21 AM
Working in the Real Estate Industry, I have seen a lot. Some things I still can't believe I have seen. But the main thing that I have seen is quitters.
Quitters never win.
In this Day and Age, many people are deciding to become Real Estate Agents! But some of them are coming into the field just because they heard the market was good. The market will not always be good. I mean, don't get me wrong, I hope it is always as good as it is now. But realistically, it won't always be good. And for the real estate agents, … (7 comments)

real estate: Real Estate Market Myths - 07/13/14 08:09 AM
Every person has an individual mindset. With that said, many people also like to believe some of these myths out there about the real estate market. Let's debunk a couple of them!

It's the wrong time to buy.  Nope. It all depends on your own financial situation and stability. If you're ready to buy, then you are ready to buy! If you're not ready, then you're not ready! All real estate is local. In Houston, there is an amazing variety to choose from! There is also a bunch of rentals out there, if you're not ready to become a homeowner. … (0 comments)

real estate: Moving Tips: From an Experienced Mover! - 07/09/14 02:56 PM
I thought I would share a couple of moving tips that I have found very helpful to me and my clients for sometime now!
Patience is Key. Not everyone can pack up their house in one day! And it's not really recommended that you do! Take it slow. Trust me, it'll be much better if you take your time! Take it Room by Room. Start with the study and end with the kitchen! Start with a room that is not needed in your everyday lives and end with the one that is most used, which is usually the kitchen! Make a … (0 comments)

real estate: Emails are VERY Important for Realtors - 07/01/14 05:19 PM
Emails are the most important way, we Realtors communicate with each other. My email is linked to my website, which means I use Microsoft Outlook to access my emails. Emails are a way for us Realtors to get our message across. It can be anything from Campaign emails, to important zipped files with contracts on them! Emails are the most important tool I probably have!
There are many agents out there that use other email providers. Such as Gmail, Yahoo, and hotmail. Do they work well for such important files? Like in Outlook, I have my whole calender on there, which connects to … (1 comments)
