True story: about 2 years ago, while looking at homes in Lower Westchester, my clients and I entered a place that must have had a collection of 200 vases on the shelves of the living room. While over the top, we considered it benign until we walked into the home office upstairs and a coffee mug that said the following: “World’s Greatest Mortician”

mistakes: Social Media and Politics Don't Mix

Way back when before I got married and became a husband/father/broker dude, I took a year off from the rat race and worked as a bartender. Tending bar is not as easy as it looks; You work the hours of the manager, you need the skills of the servers in addition to mixing a hundred types of drinks, all the while hosting a party at the bar. Among the rules observed from bartending school to the real world was the prohibition of religion and politics. The subjects are divisive enough-mix in booze and you are asking for trouble. mistakes: Exhibit A Why We'll Always Need Real Estate Brokerage

There is a a misinformed minority out there that is of the opinion that the data available on the Internet will eventually render real estate licensees obsolete. I disagree for many reasons, and I'll give you one good example: People say some pretty dumb things. I'll be the first to admit that I have heard some licensees say silly things. But at least the stupid things I have overheard were said by one agent to another. Today, at an open house for a rather upscale home one of my agents was hosting, we had one couple walk through and the wife noticed (51 comments)
