I just receieved an update from Donna Deutchman CEO of Habitat For Humanity representing both the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.  Donna updated us as to the most recent developments and the local efforts in fundraising.  As of 2/2008 this local chapter has raised $120,000 to date and counting. This is an incredible achievement and a testimony to those actively involved.  These needed funds are critical in seeing that local disaster fire victims can be assisted in rebuilding when local and national efforts are not sufficient or they don't qualify for certain funds because they don't fit the "criteria".

I got a call from Lori Burris today, asking If I could help her in locating a few "swingers" people who want to play some Tennis and Golf for a tremendous cause!.  Lori is a consultant for fundraising events and needs a few more people to reach their goal of 125 players by July 30th 2007.   She needs your help!!
Habitat for Humanity is hosting its annual Golf & Tennis Tournament at the beautiful Sunset Hills Country Club. Each year this event gets rave reviews! The registration fee for golf is $150 and the registration fee for tennis is $125. Corporate Sponsorships … (6 comments)

I was recently invited to a local community meeting for Habitat for Humanity by Fred Arnold.  Fred Arnold is the host of the Santa Clarita Business hour on our local hometown station KHTS 1220 A.M. as well as owner of American Family Funding.  I guest host every other week with Fred on the show.  We met with Jack Shine President of the Board and Donna Deutchman  the Executive Director/CEO, and staff member Joyce Grair of the local Habitat For Humanity which encompasses the San Fernando Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley.
