One of my favorite things in Green Bay is the Farmers' Market. What better way to start the weekend than with an early morning trip downtown for the area's freshest produce, flowers, bakery and so much more.
Since 1917, it has been a part of the local flavor, and it continues today. This year 95 vendors will be selling their home grown produce and hand-made goods at  Green Bay's Farmers' Markets held from June 7th through November 1st:
Downtown Green Bay - Saturday 7:00 a.m.-Noon / Parking lot east of Monroe, between Cherry & Pine If you can't be at the market … (2 comments)

green bay: A Taste of Green Bay - Kavarna - 10/11/08 02:34 AM

Do you have time for coffee? If so, then Kavarna is the place for you.
Located at 112 S. Broadway in Green Bay, Kavarna is one of my favorite places. The casual bistro atmosphere allows customers to linger over coffee & good conversation with friends.
And what good coffee it is - from latte to espresso, they do it well. And the best of all is the Espresso Shake. Try it once, and you'll be hooked for life.
If you're in need of something more substantial, the vegetarian menu is full of good eats - have the Southwest wrap -it never … (1 comments)

Green Bay is known for many good things, one of which is our active volunteer community. One of the groups that works with and for our citizens is the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity.

This work has been accomplished by the organization, home owners and many volunteers. In 2007 alone, 1400 volunteers gave 16,000 hours to help 7 families build their homes.

green bay: A Taste of Green Bay - Nakashima of Japan - 10/04/08 12:06 PM
Looking for a restaurant in Green Bay? If you like great Sushi & Hibachi-style food, there's only one place to be - Nakashima of Japan.
I've been a fan of Nakashima for at least 10 years, and they have never disappointed. Their superb dishes have converted many of my friends from 'steak & potatos' to Sushi. For the Sushi fans, be sure to try the 'Red Dragon Roll' and 'Tuna Tartar'. Hibachi lovers should go for the Swordfish.
Nakashima has the best Sushi you will find anywhere. So get to Green Bay tonight and get to know Nakashimas.
