The Policy Development and Research Office of the Housing and Urban Development department has released its report of the housing market conditions in the country during this year’s first quarter. Compared to the previous quarter, permits for constructing new housing were up 8% totaling 720,000 units. Compared to last year’s first quarter, the permits were up 29%. At 465,000 units, the percentage for permits to construct single-family housing increased 7% compared to the previous quarter and 17% compared to 2011′s first quarter. So, did you ever find yourself wrapped up in one heck of a buyer transaction that kept going on and on and on and got worse as time progressed? Every now and then one of those pop up and when it does, it just drains the life out of everyone!
