The Home Buyer Tax Credit Extension will be very beneficial for those buyers who have been on the fence for awhile or maybe had to repair credit and now have a chance to get in on the low interest rates and have money for home improvements, furniture, repayment of down payment assistance gifting, etc. Two more notes to add: Those buying homes more than $800,000 would not be eligible for the tax credit. And, those who sell their home or stop using it as their main residence within 3 years would have to repay the credit.
