october 2012: Hurricane Sandy Appears to Stay East of Florida and the United States - 10/24/12 09:38 AM
As of today, 10/24/2012, Hurricane Sandy is over the Cayman Islands and it looks like it is heading north toward Cuba. And as you can see by the map projection, it appears that the National Hurricane Center is predicting that it will skirt the east coast of the United States, passing over the Bahamas and then heading out to sea between North Carolina and Bermuda. Here in Zephyrhills and the Tampa Bay areas of Florida, we will be very happy to see this storm pass us by.
