Mulberry Trees have been supplying a sweet natural treat  for centuries. 
White Mulberries were brought to America for silkworm culture when the early colonists settled and then were crossed with the American native red mulberry.  I've never understood why mulberries are not more popular.  It seems that blackberries are more popular but I prefer mulberries.  The seeds in the blackberries are larger and to me that takes away from the enjoyment of the fruit.  The same thing with Dewberries, which are ripening right now also.  Usually dewberries are not as sweet and the … (10 comments)
