charlotte: Pink Sky This Morning in Charlotte, NC - 01/20/12 11:03 AM
Pink Sky This Morning in Charlotte, NC

This morning the sky was so pink that I had to run and grab my camera.  It was absolutely beautiful.

It made me wonder if the saying is true???

" Pink sky at night.... Sailors delight."
"Pink sky in the morning... Sailors take warning."
                                                                                     Author Unknown

As the day progressed it got darker and colder and is now raining and quite cool.  I guess the sky was right,

I am taking the warning!!

You can see that I was having a great time and posed with fellow agent Jonathan Osman.  Of course we were in the food line.

McAdenville, NC is just a little west of Charlotte, NC in Gaston county.  It is a sleepy textile town until Christmas time and then... Watch out!!  It lights up and is known as Christmastown, USA.

McAdenville has been hoping the past few years that Thomas Kincaid would decide to paint this very quaint village and to their surprise and pleasure it has happened.

"You will not want to miss a chance at this historic opportunity.  Thom has only painted NC twice before, with

charlotte: First Heavy Frost of The Season in Charlotte, NC - 11/12/11 10:58 AM
This morning it was white with frost.  In fact I did a double take when I looked out the window.  It was still dark, but the ground was white.  I actually thought it had snowed.

In this picture you can see that the rose bushes still have roses in bloom.  I will be busy cutting back all of these gardens, so that they can rest for the winter.

The next big rain will take off the leaves and trees will be bare.

No matter what season, it is always beautiful in Charlotte, NC.

Everyday there are so many things to be thankful for and today I have to share that I am thankful for Melissa Messick with New American Mortgage.

Over the years I have worked with many lenders/loan officers and Melissa Messick is one of the best.  From the moment she speaks with a potential buyer she is engaged and interested in providing them with the best service.  She is with them from start to finish and even comes to closing.

Many times I have had buyers call her to get advice when the lender they have chosen to use is not … (8 comments)

Years ago I was so lucky to meet the many wonderful directors and volunteers with Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue.  I started really slow when I first volunteered with Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue.
You may wonder what one can do to assist and volunteer for a local rescue group in your area.
You can volunteer your time to attend and assist with fundraisers. You can volunteer to help transport animals.  They have to be transported from where they are rescued from to their foster homes or to the vetinarian for appts.  You can donate money. You can volunteer to head up a fundraiser. … (11 comments)

charlotte: The Many Colors of Fall in The Carolinas!! - 10/25/11 10:27 AM
Today was a beautiful day in Charlotte.  At one point it was about 76 degrees and the sun was out and the sky was blue.  Just a yummy day and am so grateful for beautiful fall days like these.
Last year I planted a silver maple tree and it is growing fast.  I noticed this morning that the top of it is beginning to turn red.

The mums continue to bloom and are beautiful.

I would be thrilled if it stayed like this all winter.
It is definitely true... Nothing Could Be Finer Than to Be In Carolina... … (15 comments)
