Named by Archibald Menzies in the late 1700's, the Birch Bay area has always been a beautiful one. It was named Birch Bay because of the abundance of black birch trees that once grew in the area. There is also historical evidence that informs us that Semiahmoo, Lummi, and Nooksack Native American Tribes had inhabited this area since prehistoric times. I have shown homes and condos in Birch Bay, Washington many times over the past few months and it is apparent that the Birch Bay, Washington area is admired for many different reasons. Some like it (0 comments)
