A 1,100 acre public park in the center of Glynn County Georgia in Brunswick is the impressive Blythe Island Regional Park. This beautiful property offers something for everyone including: A full service campground, and a marina and a 6 ton boat hoist and access to the South Brunswick River to saltwater fish. (Dockage as well as live and dead bait sales are available).
In addition to camping, the park offers a fresh water lake where you can swim and and fresh water fish.
Children can be seen enjoying the water and wildlife
Take a slow ride around the Summer Waves on The Turtle River. This 1/2 mile river allows you to view the park on a float at the slow pace of 3 miles per hour.....a great start or end to a day. Towering 5 stories above above The Turtle River is The Pirates Passage Inner Tube Ride.

Events in Brunswick Georgia on July 14, 2012 Our Journey Inc. will host an antique doll and Teddy bear sale on Saturday July 14, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Farmers' Market at Mary Ross Park in Brunswick, Georgia. The proceeds from the sale will go to aid mission work in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya.

What a great day in the inter-coastal waterways in Brunswick and the Golden Isles of Georgia. Along the banks you see wildlife of all kinds.
The weather was great and it takes about 45 minutes from our launch to get to Bird Island. This small island is almost completely covered at high tide year round. And as you see, there is really nothing on the island except birds and shells.
Some of the birds enjoy some time in the water while my husband fished off his jet ski (3 comments)
