Thursday night in New Castle Pennsylvania LAwrence County held a yearly spectacular event Union Township's Scotland Meadow Park was the scene of Western Pennsylvania, Hot Air Balloon " Nite Glow " The launch for this mornings 6:30 AM was canceled to to a few rain drops through out our fair city of New Castle. Weather conditions need to be perfect before they will launch the 25 balloons scheduled for lift off. Oh what a night....... in New Castle, Pennsylvania......the night glow of the hot air balloon show was an amazing show to watch. Hundreds of residents and far away visitors enjoy the " perfect weather day " The balloons tonight were inflated and were on the ground only. The first launch is scheduled between 6:00 and 7:00 Friday morning, weather permitting. I spent a couple hours strolling the usually peaceful Scotland Meadows Park in Union Townships. It is that time of the year when excitement and anticipation fills the air for the annual " Balloon Quest " held in Union Township at beautiful Scotland Meadows Park. The Union Township Fire Department host the . no admission charged event. This spectacular in sponsered by Mrozek Financial and the event planner Lois Merryman will be high in the air over Lawrence County along with 20 to 25 other hot air balloons.
This years event holds a special meaning to friends and balloonist of Steve Lachendro.

I saw a flyer put out by an agent that read " Buy a house from me and Feed the Poor " What he was proposing that he would donate a certain percentage of his commission toward the purchase of food for the local food bank. Well .....we are into the first few days of Autumn. Fall in Pennsylvania is nothing less than spectacular. The color palette is amazing. I wanted to go back to the farm markets to take photos of the different fall displays. These farmers takes such precision in creating exciting pumpkin displays. The Lawrence County Fair has come to the end of another year,This years Fair was held on August 11 through 16. It was another year of fun, and excitement for all who attended this yearly celebration. Here we are again ......a double fun time event. Every year, New Castle Pennsylvania, Lawrence County, closes down the bypass leading into the city to celebrate their Fireworks Festival .. At the same time, Mary Mother of Hope celebrates Summerfest, at the Parish Center . This event this year was held on July 11 & 12.
