Saturday's afternoon launch was filled with emotion as the red, white and blue Remax Balloon lifted gently to the open clear sky on a solo flight in tribute to a lost friend and balloonist, Steve Lachendro, who lost his life in an accident.
A quiet hush fell over the crowd as the watched the first of the 25 balloons drift ahead to lead the wind path for the afternoon journey.
Sunday is the last day of the event with the final launch during the morning hours of 6:00 to 7:00

New Castle residents  prepare to enjoy the annual street fair on the downtown corridor,  regardless of severe weather warnings.
The afternoon photos show a sparse crowd.  Only the brave ventured out in the high humidity almost 90 degree temperatures.
Early  afternoon was the  perfect time to take photos of the vendors, before the evening cools,  and the crowds descend on on the
activities and food featured at this years festival. Although   the gentle breeze took the edge off the high humidity and high
temperature it certainly was an afternoon for the  brave at heart

Well .....we are into the first few days of Autumn. Fall in Pennsylvania is nothing less than spectacular.    The color palette is amazing. I wanted to go back to the farm markets to take photos of the different   fall displays. These farmers  takes such precision in creating exciting pumpkin displays. I hope you are  able to take these beautiful Fall days and drive out  to the various markets in the country .
