And the Winner of the Harley's for Habitat for Humanity is ~ Its has been a long five months or so selling $25 tickets to raise money for the Franklin, NC Habitat for Humanity. I joined the Board at the beginning of the year wanting to give back to my community. We who came up with this bright idea anyway? The Franklin Board of Realtors held an new event this year to raise money for Relay for Life. We started what we hope will be an event to grow each year. More than 100 people showed up for this event. About 40 participants racing. The race course covered close to 20 miles, it was a Run - Bike - Run Relay. There was more to this event than just racing. We had a live band, lunch, face painting for the kids, cheer leaders from the Middle School to cheer the finishers, Zumba dance-fitness craze and raffle tickets from lots of sponsors … (2 comments)

I think that it is really important to give back in some way. I decided to help with the Relay for life this year at the Local Board of Realtors. We were really concerned last year about meeting our goal and we did well over. I am more concerned this year because of the economy is even worse but I am staying optimistic to at least give it our best shot. As far as our little town go's per ca pita we have constantly raised the most money. I think that is amazing! This year I thought of having a Run-Bike-Run … (2 comments)
