So much has happened at 453 W 70th Ter since my last progress post. This home is really starting to take shape and I must say its looking great. In fact great is an understatement. This home looks amazing. I won’t bore you with the technical details…lets just get to the pictures. Lets start things off in the kitchen. As you can see we have more than just a few cabinets. Just in case you couldn’t tell from the pictures these cabinets are very tall and did I mention amazing. Whoever ends up purchasing this home will never have a problem … (8 comments)

So much has been done at 453 W 70th Ter since our last progress post. It’s always amazing to see such a large scale renovation take place. This is the 4th remodel the Vizion crews have done in Romanelli Gardens over the past year and while all the other homes have been special in their own way this one clearly takes the cake. As you can see the exterior paint has been nearly completed. Its hard to believe that just a few weeks ago this house was light brown with a dark brown trim.

Our crews are about a week ahead of schedule on the remodel of 453 w 70th ter. From the looks of things we should be done with this house by the last week of July. That means we should have this house on the market right at the peak of selling season. Right now all I’m thinking about is how many sandwiches we should order for the open house I have a feeling everyone in the neighborhood will be eager to see this home once its done. If you haven’t seen it yet I would recommend taking a look at our midweek progress post before checking out this one. Our renovation of 1010 W 70th Tr is truly in the finishing stages. Most of this week the painters have been hard at work and those new windows we’ve been wondering about have finally been installed. As you can see the house is really starting to come together. First off this is a street lined wtih $300k to $600k homes. Sure once the house is done its going to be one of the nicest houses on the block. But during the renovation you’ve really got to wonder what the neighbors are thinking. A large home renovation like this produces lots of trash. Sometimes I really do wonder what the neighbors think. Quite frankly so much is taking place on our renovation at 1010 W 70th Tr that I had to make a midweek progress post. Generally I don’t like to bother the crews while their on the job but today after checking on a few inspection related things at 424 Dartmouth I decided to stop by and see how things were coming. The new windows are finally being installed on this house. Honestly I was staring to wonder if these windows were going to get here on time. According to our head contractor all the windows should be installed today.

We’re entering the finishing stages on our remodel of 1010 W 70th Tr. It’s been a real pleasure watching this project come together. This was another huge week in the renovation so once again this will be a post with lots of progress pictures. I’m very impressed with how much got over the past 5 days. As you can see here the hardwood floors have already been sanded and are now ready for staining. According to our head contractor the floors will be stained over the weekend.

A lot has happened on this renovation since last week. I’m really surprised at how quickly our crews are working to complete this renovation. If they continue at this pace we should have no problem wrapping up this remodel by our deadline of April 15th. Since so much has taken place on this renovation this progress post will be a little bit longer than usual. On the plus side that means lots more photos! Things are really starting to come together at 1010 W 70th tr. From the looks of things were well on pace to be done by April. I’m always surprised at how quicky our crews are able to renovate a house. Granted this house was already in good condition when compared to our renovation a few blocks away at 444 Dartmouth. As you can see our crews have started doing the exterior paint. Ive noticed that once you start working on the exterior of a house the neighbors really start to pay attention the renovation.

First off I should probably address a small issue in last weeks post. That light blue looking paint is actually primer…not paint. It sure would look a little strange if the whole house was painted in that color. Sorry for any confusion. Now with that out of the way lets get into this weeks progress post on 1010 W. 70th Tr. Most all of the electric and plumbing work has been completed on this renovation. Generally once this work has been completed the rest of the house starts to really take shape. This is one of those houses that just needed a little updating to become a Vizion home. 424 Dartmouth has been done up in our typical Brookside style with granite counters, stainless steal appliances, refinished hardwood floors and new windows. Our crews had to pull off of this home renovation to wrap up the remodel at 424 Dartmouth. Our crews were on this house for a grand total of three days last week but in those three days they got a lot done. According to our head contractor the crews will make up the days they missed on this job next weekend. This is a shot of the living room. This house will have about 40 different paint colors. Looks like this very attractive light blue is going to be one of them.

I stopped by the custom renovation at 1010 W 70th today after stopping by our renovation at 424 Dartmouth. While not much has taken place on the outside the inside of this house is slowly coming along. The new door for the new half bath has been cut out of the wall in the living room. You may remember that the half bath is being moved from the left side of the kitchen to right. Moving the half bath allows the house to flow better and also makes more space in the kitchen.

Even though we got an unexpected 4 inches of snow I was still able to run out and grab a few progress pictures of our renovation at 424 Dartmouth. This renovation is about a week away from being completed. The new garage door has been installed. Unlike most of the houses we’ve done in the Brookside area this one has a full fenced backyard.
The floor refinishing and the interior paint has been completed. That half bath looks so natural. You would never think at one time it wasn’t there. The spindles on the handrail for the stairs will go … (7 comments)

We’re in the beginning stages of our renovation at 1010 W 70th tr. I assure you that while these pictures are very rough once this remodel has been completed this will be one of the nicest houses on the block. We might as well start things off in the kitchen. As you can see our crews have already gutted most of the kitchen. We will be doing some minor floor repair on this house as well as completely changing the layout of the kitchen. We’re about two weeks away from the completion of the renovation at 424 Dartmouth. I stopped by the property on Saturday after taking a look at few houses in North Kansas City. While I was out there I met the neighbors just down the street at 416 Dartmouth who’ve been watching our renovations on the vizionkc blog. This is a picture of the living room as you can see most of the interior paint has been completed and the new windows have been installed. Even with the addition of the half bath this is still a large living room.

Things are really starting to shape up on our renovation of 424 Dartmouth. I stopped by the property today after checking up on 7744 McGee. I told you that this is the corner to watch. In just 3 weeks into the renovation and our crews have already turned this small area into a half bath.
This is truly an incredible usage of space by our renovation crews. My concern ever since I heard about the placement of this half bath was that we would take up to much space. As you can see my concerns were a little off base. … (2 comments)
