Many people have asked me how our lease option works. Here is a basic break down of the program. In a lease option the whole goal is to get the tenant up to 5% of the purchase price for the house by the end of the lease. Generally we accomplish this by taking a 3% down payment up front and the other 2% is made up during the lease time by adding a small amount to their monthly payment called a binder. So it finally happened to me. Today while I was eating lunch at Chipotle I received a call from someone who found me on AR. Unfortunately it was not a potential client. It was a telemarketer trying to get me to switch property management companies. After explaining to him that we already have a management company and were not in the market for a new one I asked the telemarketer where he had gotten my phone number. mo: Where Will The Government Draw The Line?

So Freddie and Fannie have been saved by the government. And I guess that a good thing. My only concern is that this is to my recollection the second time just this year that the government has stepped in to the private sector and literally bailed out a company. Where will the government draw the line? If they can just step in and solve private sector problems is this really a free market? Questions like these endlessly swirl around in my mind.
