Anyone notice a problem with this water heater? Looks like one of those do it yourself jobs by the homeowner. Can you believe the inspector missed this? Actually I thought he was a very thorough inspector, but everyone is human. My client and I saw this the very first day we looked at the home. This is something that can be fixed very easily, I guess the owner said heck with it. This home is located in the Lake Village subdivision in Slidell, Louisiana. I am fairly certain that most real estate agents know this. I also would assume most homeowners know this. Especially after Katrina flooded most of Southeast Louisiana and coastal Mississippi. Not according to Sunday's Times-Picayune out of New Orleans. According to a survey 32% of the residents mistakenly believe their homeownerswill cover flooding. Nationwide only 16% believe this. Are we really that dumb? Maybe the governments Road Home program bailed most homeowners out who didn't have flood insurance they were fooled into thinking this. What do you mean no one wants to buy homes or is able. We have plenty for sale look at my latest client. Moved right in with four babies and never needed a credit check or even a loan for that matter. Yes sir this chick has it going on. Paid with cash, and we all know cash is king. Ask anyone who knows me patience isn't one of my virtues. I am a nervous hyper individual. I try to stay still when talking to clients so not to make them nervous. Definitely something I have to work at. Point today my wife is doing a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle. She says it's relaxing. I say it means nothing better to do. Property owners in St. Tammany parish will have from Oct2-Oct16 to review their assessments and appeal them in writing to either the Slidell or Covington office. These dates were changed because of hurricane Gustav. Here is a link to access the website and view your taxes for the upcoming year. I was driving back from Hammond to Slidell Louisiana this morning. I noticed a large quantity of storm related assets moving West towards Texas. I had no doubt as to where this equipment was headed. I saw numerous generators, ambulances and electrical workers headed that way. I saw several 18-wheelers carrying transformers. No country can out produce us whenour capitalism markets come into action. I must FEMA and private corporations for moving these products in advance. I listened to some of Bank of America's CEO Ken Lewis today. All fear had left the housing market over the past ten years. How many people did I hear, including agents that houses always go up in value. This is true over history but not over short periods of time. Which means all the unconventional loans, equity loans and adjustable rate loans had to fail eventually. The buyers, appraisers, agents, mortgage companies and even the government had lost all fear.
