Slidell's annual Christmas under the stars begins tonight. The theme for tonight is Night of the Nutcracker, December 5 A German Christmas December 6 Feliz navidad December 10 Kwanza December 11 A Cajun Christmas December 12 Hannukah December 13 The Art of Christmas All events take place at Griffith Park in Olde Towne Slidell and admission is free. Also don't miss the Marine Corps Reserve Band Concert at the Northshore Harbor Center Wednesday December 9. Concert starts at 7:30 and the doors open at 6:30. Admission is free but a toy would be appreciated for the Toys for Tots.

Once again this year Xerox is sponsoring the Lets Say Thankscampaign to send Christmas cards to our serviceman and women serving overseas this year. Whether you support the war or not shouldn't be an issue with trying to brighten their day a little. While we get to live our life and spend the Holidays with our family we tend to forget the sacrifice's of others. I have already sent several cards. It takes about one minute. I don't really know a whole lot about this particular type of venture.
