Congratulations to the city of New Orleans for being awarded the 2013 Championship game. This is the tenth time the city will host the BIG GAME. The first since Katrina flooded the dome in 2005. It also is the first since Tom Brady won the 2002 game after the terrorist's attack in 2001. Maybe the Saints will be at home playing in this game. No city has a better footprint for this game. The historic French Quarter is only a mile or so away. All of the hotels are convenient to the Superdome, restaurants, casino and the already mentioned French Quarter. … (2 comments)

The self-employed's favorite time of the year is here, tax time. I just wanted to pass on a new one to me. I know plenty of the active rainers know already but here goes. My wife was cleaning some old pictures out of the computer yesterday when she ran across this video of our dog. She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback. We got her from the pound. Great dog. Well they were originally bred to help hunters chase lions in Africa, or so I have been told. As you can see she is resting well after a hard day hunting lions on the Safari's of Slidell Louisiana. I read yesterday where the Arizona Cardinals sold out next weeks football game in six (6) minutes. This has to be some kind of a record. I realize they are win starved. I can relate having backed the Saints for years. The Phoenix area is one of the worst with foreclosures in the country, yet people have enough bread to pony up for this game. This is pure luxury/entertainment. Absolutely discretionary spending. So just how bad is it really??? I don't really trust the press or the politicians. I am sure these tickets weren't cheap.
