Today is a festive day.  You will find many ways to celebrate from the "wearing of the green", to drinking beer, consuming Irish foods, and watching parades.
St. Patrick's Day started as a feast to celebrate Christianity arriving in Ireland.  Here in the United States, you will find a variety of ways that the day is commemorated by those that are Irish and those of us that are Irish-at-Heart.  When I lived in Chicago and even today, the Chicago River was dyed green.  Numerous cities have parades and bagpipe competitions.  You can also … (0 comments)
