Yesterday was moving day for CrossFit Flathead, my gym. I must admit I am a little intimidated by the size and bars in the new gym. We will start our WODs there on Friday. I expect coach Buford Bennet will have all kinds of "fun" lined up for us in this new space!

While I am not a fan of consuming canola oil, it sure is pretty when we have fields of yellow to look at this time of year. We locals start to whine this time of year, but at the same time all the tourists are good for the local economy. Rv's are going through town to get to locations in the valley and Glacier National Park. Costco is jammed, especially right before the 4th of July. Saturdays from 9am to 12 is the Kalispell Farmers Market located now at FVCC (Flathead Valley Community College). Gotta be there right at 9 to get a place to park and a chance to buy the best stuff! Got all my tomato plants, herbs and some annuals to put in my garden. This is a much better location than the mall parking lot, lots more visible to those driving by all the sports fields and box stores on Saturday mornings. crossfit flathead: Kalispell Montana Spartan Race

Wow, what an event! Last Saturday approximately 4300 people participated in this amazing obstacle race. 4.9 miles, 2200 ft elevation gain, and 15+ obstacles. I volunteered to help out. Arriving at 6:30am last Saturday, my husband and myself learned we were at a water station at the 4 mile mark. We thought, how hard can that be? On the very bumpy pickup ride through the course to our station, the driver told us this was the hardest job. We road in the back of the pickup, holding on for dear life through ruts, mud and over the terrain to our station. … (2 comments)
