summer: Flathead Valley July Heat and FUN! - 07/10/14 12:22 AM
The 4th of July was incredible. We had family in town so took the grandsons to the Kalispell parade, City Beach in Whitefish and did fireworks late on the 4th. We older people struggled to stay awake since it gets dark so late in NW Montana. I don't remember the last time we stayed up late enough for fireworks!
It has been in the high 80's to 90's the last week. Have fun outside in the morning before it gets too hot. I used to tell clients they don't really need ac because we cool off so much at night, now … (0 comments)

summer: That "in between time" - 03/19/14 03:17 AM
I posted on Facebook last week that I was calling it quits on the ski season and moving on to gardening and horse riding. A friend says that she hates the "in between time". I totally got it. summer: Flathead Valley Weekly Update: April 26, 2011 - 04/26/12 03:32 AM

Trees are leafing out, Flathead lake is slowly rising to full pool and valley residents can be seen making every effort to get outside and enjoy our activities.

Here is a photo that was posted by Glacier National Park of the plowing in Two Medicine camp ground. Just a "little" snow!! Speaking of snow, Whitefish Resort … (0 comments)

summer: Flathead Weekly Update: June 21, 2011 - 06/21/11 02:37 AM
After weeks of rain and from 15-20 degrees colder than normal, I am thrilled to report that summer weather has come! 80 degrees and sun for the next couple of days. Sometimes in NW Montana, that is how it works. We go abruptly from 1 season to the next. Hay crop should be great this year so need to be thankful for the cool damp days. The garden should start looking like it is thriving with the heat, instead of plants looking pretty pathetic.
Big Mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort), opened last weekend for the summer. Chair 1 has been temporarily shut … (0 comments)
