The good news is the market is considerably improved over 2008, a decade ago, which totaled only 749. The shift in the market is likely due to several reasons. The year 2016 is going to go down in the history books as the best real estate market for sales in McLean and Great Falls in a decade. The number of transactions was up 10% year over year, rising to 1,081. That is the first time ever over the 1k mark. Furthermore, compared to the 2006 market, it was up over 18%. This is outstanding news for the market area as we enter into the new year of 2017 and the inauguration. All segments performed better or remained steady in 2016 over 2015.
