The world has changed dramatically since Gene Autry recorded "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer" in 1949. For one thing, there are quite a few billion more people on the earth.
Today, there is greater emphasis on conserving energy. A lightweight, inflatable sleigh goes a long way in achieving that goal, but one stray nail or glass shard could spoil Christmas for children all over the world.

When I grow up I wanna' be the National Christmas Tree.
This little artificial 18 inch Christmas tree is one of a half dozen that flank our front walkway. Even if it was a real tree its' only chance of becoming the National Christmas Tree would be at the mercy of someone choosing it.
We humans, however, are blessed with the intellect to make choices and plan for the future. The earlier we start and continue to work towards "stretch goals" the more likely we are to succeed in reaching our short and long range objective.
