Over the past month I have been contacted via email and phone by different companies and individuals seeking different things.
The variety has been great in the contacts and their inquiries. Bottom line, these contacts have essentially wanted to build a business relationship with me and my company, Home Star Staging.
Here's a sample of some of the types of people & businesses and their inquiries:

real estate: Home Star Staging's success is Collin County, TX merchant's success - 01/04/09 07:39 AM
Yes, it's a no brainer - my company's, Home Star Staging, success supports not only Collin County's economy but every area I do business in and that includes Dallas, parts of Denton and sometimes Tarrant counties as well.
As I go through the always fun task of getting my year end receipts together I was looking at the businesses I frequent for goods and services in my day to day life as a home staging professional in North Texas. These businesses depend on me and you to patronize them in order for them to stay in business too.
And if I'm a viable business I can afford to help … (14 comments)

real estate: A blog you have to read by a seller - "Selling ( & staging ) a house with kids" - 06/04/08 05:25 AM
My Google Alerts had an interesting blog post in it this morning and I want to share the link here.
The blog is written by a seller who had their Realtor stage the listing.
She describes in really good (and humorous) detail the process and how it was to live like that for a very short time apparently. You'll see for yourself if you read the post Selling a house with kids
It is so spot on and true, especially when selling with children. However this family made the committment to sell and the results speak for themselves! Stagers and Realtors should … (34 comments)

If you are planning to or already have your occupied home on the market for the holidays you may be wondering whether or not you should decorate. I'm no Scrooge so yes, I feel you should decorate if you feel so inclined but MODERATION IS KEY!
Believe it or not, buyers who are looking at homes during the holiday season are probably more serious about purchasing a home otherwise why would they be out looking at properties rather than enjoying their nights and weekends celebrating or shopping?
Some quick tips are listed below to help you navigate through the sale of your … (29 comments)

real estate: Sellers - Unwrap your walls and reveal the gift to your buyers - 11/14/07 03:18 AM
Wallpaper, wallpaper on the wall are you the fairest of them all?
Love it or hate it or have no opinion of it, most Professional Home Stagers do address the issue.  It comes, it goes, it's in fashion it's not. It's neat, it's versatile, it's dated, it's faded, out, in ...  your feelings on it, in my opinion, in many cases when selling a home especially, wall paper removal may and should be recommended.
Now fair seller, you say, WHY?
"I love it! I paid lots of money for this designer look it matches my chair cushions! I paid someone else to hang it … (32 comments)

real estate: Homeowners - Can you Stage? - 06/09/07 03:46 AM
Some questions were swirling in my head as I awoke this morning and I wanted to put them out here for thought.  This is geared towards homeowners but of course I'd love to hear from anyone who may want to share or add a comment.  I was thinking about Homeowners and how they feel about staging.
There's lots of news articles and information out there that tell them the benefits of Staging and even how to do it.  They can buy many books on the subject and even find free resources on the web.  But are they actually doing it? So here … (8 comments)
