Yes, there is a silver lining to the high gas prices for those of us that do business on The Jersey Shore.  Tourism officials are already seeing signs of growth in this seasons tourism industry as folks from New York, Philadelphia and the Tri-State area will stay closer to home this summer.
Parking revenues, rentals, hotel accommodations and beach tag sales - all strong indicators of what kind of season we expect to have - are way ahead of last year's pace. And last year was pretty strong, thanks to hot, dry weather.

There's been an ongoing point of contention between Jersey Shore beach town homeowners and tourists who come to the The Jersey Shore to enjoy some of America's best beaches.
