prescott az living: Arizona Sunrises Are Amazing - Fhoto Friday - 10/30/20 04:42 PM
From sunsets to sunrises, I love them all. But, something about the sunrise that just screams "Good Morning" brings such a sense of gratitude for earth and waking up to a new day.

They say that sunrises are so beautiful because in the middle of the day, when the sun is overhead, the light from the sun has its shortest path through the atmosphere to reach us. Blue waves are shorter and scatter - that helps make the sky look blue. ... Now at sunrise and sunset, the sun is at a much lower angle to earth.

Spiritually it is said that the sunrise is a symbol … (5 comments)

I see some of the coolest things in my travels but the wildlife is one of my favorites. Here is Mommy and baby deer ( little old Bambi :) ) just out for a stroll in the gorgeous weather!
Some cool facts that I learned about deer ( because I love to google stuff ) is that the first deer was found about 4 million years ago. Wait, what? Yep. Scientist believe that deer once inhabited bitter-cold regions around the artic circle.
Deer are also the only animal that has antlers and they are the fastest growing living tissue on earth. Antlers are … (2 comments)

prescott az living: Prescott Arizona Ponderosa Pine Tree - 09/28/20 03:12 PM
When hanging out in Prescott, Arizona I stumbled across this tree that I now know as a Ponderosa Pine. I've been told that Prescott has more of these trees than anywhere else in the USA. I love nature and love the maturity of this tree. After some research I have found out that the Ponderosa Pine has several distinct scents that no one ever really seems to agree on. Some people will smell butterscotch or vanilla and another person can smell coconut or cinnamon. Scientists don't know why a closely sniffed Ponderosa smells like baking cookies, but nevertheless it does. Some … (0 comments)

prescott az living: Our Journey Throughout Prescott, AZ - 09/12/20 05:04 PM
We are still learning a lot about Prescott, AZ, but the journey has been amazing. The night sky is absolutely beautiful, in fact, picture perfect. Prescott, AZ living is surely different than what I am accustom to on the mountain in Lake Arrowhead, but the beauty is impeccable. While both areas are beautiful in their own way, you really cannot compare the two because they are each so unique.

I love strolling through downtown Prescott and seeing all of the monuments and statues that do not seem to be a rarity around here. In fact, everywhere I go there seems to be some sort … (3 comments)

prescott az living: Thankful Thursdays - Thoughts & Prayers To LA - 08/27/20 03:38 PM
In the early morning hours as most everyone has seen Louisiana took on a powerful Hurricane Laura. A Category 4 hurricane packing a punch of 150 mph winds and being just shy of a Category 5. If you have been on social media today you would have seen the mass destruction this powerful storm left behind. Homes under water. Roofs blown up or completely peeled back exposing the inside of everything that someone holds dear. Business around the cities completely destroyed. Glass blown out of buildings and bricks that once covered a building piled on the sidewalk. So many people will be … (17 comments)

While exploring Prescott, Arizona we stopped for a bite to eat to satisfy our Italian craving. I'm so glad we did. Right in Prescott, AZ is a little place directly across the street from the courthouse and boy do they have amazing pizza! Dining is a great atmosphere with lots of old movie prints on the walls that you can gaze at while you enjoy your meal. We met the Chef who calls himself "Grumpy Sicilian" and their pizza is made by a true 100% Sicilian (yep, the guy who calls himself "Grumpy Sicilian". We absolutely loved our Margarita pizza and I'm … (13 comments)

prescott az living: American Pride In Prescott, AZ - 08/08/20 05:48 PM
While traveling to Prescott, AZ in July, i loved seeing how patriotic the town was. All over flags were waving, gazebos were decorated, store windows and even fire stations and historic buildings had flags draped throughout. I am a patriotic person year round, but I will say that seeing the displays during times like Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day makes things even more patriotic and joyful.

It's almost like Christmas. We love Christmas, but there is something so much more magical about the time of year when lights are twinkling, sleigh bells are ringing and snowflakes are glistening. Seeing all … (9 comments)
