Rim Forest Lumber was founded in 1947 by Frank Holland. In 1969, Butch Baumann bought the company and has been serving our mountain residents needs ever since. This weekend, June 13, 2009, come check out the TOOL AND PRODUCT FAIR at Rim Forest Lumber. Now you're probably thinking, what??? Believe me, this little local "fair" is full of fun, food and helpful folks...for you folks thinking about doing some projects around the house. THE RIM OF THE WORLD RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT'S (ROWRPD) mission statement is "To help enrich and fulfill the lives of the citizens through the provision of facilities and programs that will provide and enhance creative, wholesome and imaginative leisure time living patterns." It's so true!! The first time I became acquainted with ROWRPD was in the mid 90's after reading a little ad in the Mountain News Newspaper, "How to Get Published."
