Thanksgiving is a blur because of the winter storm we received here in Lake Arrowhead, but there is nothing like a white Christmas. Well, almost. Our winter storm began late Christmas Day and is finally winding down some. We definitely got flocked again with power outages and business closings (and roads too). Still, it's a beautiful site here in Lake Arrowhead as you peek out the windows and see the branches of pines covered in snow. Actually, everything is covered in snow.

LAKE ARROWHEAD got a little snow today! We didn't get a ton (couple of inches), but the ski resorts are happy. Since another storm is just a couple days away, perhaps by the end of the weekend, we'll be all set. If you're planning a trip up, bring chains, warm clothing and come on up and have some fun. Check Mountain Weather and Mountain Conditions before heading up.

Your Lake Arrowhead Realtor would like to share some local Lake Arrowhead Information with you. We've had a mild winter, so far. However, we are now having storms roll into Southern Califorina and our local mountains. This evening we're expected to get snow down to 3,500 feet; that is low! If you're heading up to our local mountains, bring chains, warm clothing and patience.... driving patience. Be extra careful! You make a snowman (or woman). And NO, I had nothing to do with making this awesome creation. I was on my way to an appointment the other day and saw this perfect SNOWPEEP. **** Update; Just saw in The Mountain News (2-24-2011 page A-10) this snowman was blt by Haylee Mata and her parents. Good JOB!

We've had a perfectly light & dry winter so far (well, except for those heavy rains in late Dec/early Jan). Word is on the weather peeps lips is that we have some storms heading our way. Get the snow plow, shovels, boots and gloves out and be ready to have some fun! Ski resorts are all excited (naturally).
