Our area has several different Caravan days. We call them "up the hill" and "down the hill," due to the elevation in the foothills. We also have our own company meetings and caravan days for our office listings. The MAIN MLS meeting and Caravan day is Tuesday...TODAY!
Now I realise that most people don't want to get up early and take off their warm and fussy jammies just to go to some meeting and listen to a bunch of Realtors tout their listings. We'd rather be cuddled up in our recliner with a cup of Java, reading the morning paper. I WOULD, … (10 comments)

I thought I'd share a fewof my favorite eateries in, and around, Sonora, in Tuolumne County, California. I LOVE to eat. Now this doesn't make me an expert at restaurants...I just know what I enjoy. FOOD! When you're in the area, check them out.
Fun and casual and the biggest and BEST onion rings and burgers I've ever eaten are at DIAMONDBACK GRILLI in Sonora. They don't have a website, yet, BUT don't let that stop you. I have noticed in the past week, that a person can obtain, literally, thousands of POINTS overnight by submitting photos on Localism--many were not even taken by the submitter. How is this possible? Is it okay? I've searched through "how to's" and photo articles and tips and in Localism but haven't really found the exact answer to this. I submit local photos for consumers to enjoy--isn't that the idea? Not just for points--in fact, I don't think about the POINTS. BUT, if I can GET thousands of POINTS overnight, I want 'em. What is the secret?

When buyers are moving to a new area, they need to gather all the information possible: housing market, schools (if they have children) and general stuff: grocery shopping, churches, parks, etc. I LOVE our local visitors center and before I moved here, it was actually the first place I started my online search. I e-mailed them and soon received a "relocation package," that also included flyers from several local Realtors (a GOOD advertising tool). It amazes me how many small businesses (like ours) do not belong--or haven't thought to join--their local Chamber of Commerce. My local Chamber, Tuolumne County Chamber--Tons of Info has been extremely helpful to me and my business. If you haven't checked out yours, you SHOULD. The costs is usually very small compared to what you'll get in RETURN. Here's just a few things YOUR Chamber can do for you:
1.Member Discounts: from local business who are members, and offer discounts on anything from restaurants to printing services.

I may have mentioned this before--but not here. Anyway... I had a client call me one morning regarding a listing I had e-mailed him. "Hey, I'd like to see that place." GREAT, I thought. I printed out the listing, looked at the showing instructions: BE CAREFUL! GATOR. I thought this was a joke, so I called the agent and asked her. SURE 'nough, there was a GATOR in the house.
