business poltics: Who do we thank for the First Time Buyer's Refund? - 12/03/09 10:17 AM
I am curious- I'd like to know exactly who thought of this, who pushed it through and so on.
I'd like to personally thank them for my excellent last half of the year.
I know how politics works and every elected official who can will claim credit for it.  Somebody knows the real truth though.
I am exhausted, the paper is piling up on my desk, I'm behind on my web work and it's because of the transactions sparked by this program.
I'm very grateful and want to give credit where credit is due and I want it to be public!

business poltics: He'll be home in Homedale drinking coffee at Moxie. - 04/03/09 11:30 AM
What an interesting client - we won the repo bidding war.  I've driven the 31 miles to Homedale 3 times with him now.  It's been fun because we share similar politcial views something that RARELY happens in this very conservative area.  I have unintentionally been very current in my real estate business with him.  Because it was comfortable and warm and pleasant we went to Homedale's MoxieJava coffeehouse to sign papers several times.  Isn't that just where we are supposed to operate in the "you don't really need an office" age?  It is also a bistro named Cafe Leku which I … (3 comments)

business poltics: What is this crazy cram-down stuff? - 03/06/09 08:59 AM
Please people if you are reading this today 3/6/09 get on Inman News and read Lou Barne's column!  As usual he makes perfect sense.  Now back to the subject - I can't imagine what kind of thinking produced the idea of having the bankruptcy courts be in charge of this aspect of the lending crisis.  It's like putting an opera company in charge of administering the NFL.  I understand the reasoning  behind it - to force the lenders to do it themselves or the courts will do it for them.  We don't need to be dilly dallying around with silly ideas … (5 comments)

business poltics: Quit Whining Rich People! - 03/02/09 03:30 AM
Ok here goes.  I think it is right and proper that those earning over 250k start paying their fair share!  I don't mean the amount they owe after taking every advantage plus that they can I mean their fair share.  We all know that the truly wealthy pay little or no taxes - now really is that right?  I've seen too much of the late Leona Helmsley's attitude that only the little people pay taxes.
NAR just doesn't get it that when we put our whole industry emphasis on preserving the mortgage interest deduction for rich people that we are simply … (20 comments)

business poltics: WOWSER!! - 01/20/09 06:48 AM
I was privileged to watch the inaguration of President Obama this morning (on TV).  What an upper!   I like the "We're America we can do this"  sentiment!  I enjoyed the beautiful music and although public prayer is not my thing I enjoyed the benediction!   No matter what your political beliefs, our industry needs to hear Obama's speech and take it to heart.

business poltics: Happy Songs I'm singing Happy Songs - 11/04/08 02:35 AM
Some days you have to just love being a realtor.  I showed a 23000 property and wrote an offer on it AND got a GOOD call on a 600000 property I have listed.  That's a pretty wide stretch!!!
This is the last week to enjoy my profile picture of me at the Malheur County Fair Democratic party booth!  I'll be resuming normality.
One more political thing  "Happy Days Are Here Again", "Blue Skies Nothing But Blue Skies" "It's a Great Day" and "I'm Proud To be an American"
