Let's look at what is selling for sold price by Chain of Lakes homes and non- Chain of Lakes homes over the last 2 years.See the charts below from Affinity Valuations.
The first chart - Chain of Lakes shows that Baseline Lake and Strawberry Lake command the highest sales price per square foot.  Portage Lake is third highest in both years. The Huron River frontage trails the Chain lakes.

Distressed homes have been a fairly stable market share, accounting for 33 percent of sales in November; they were 34 percent in October and 33 percent in November 2009.
