So you searched through homes. You've visited each one. And you've narrowed it down to which homes(s) your are interested in. Now it's time to make the offer. The question becomes . . . how much? This is the part that is a little more complex than most people think and a lot of factors should be taken into account. Remember, an offer is the first step in negotiation. In working with buyers, there is often times a hesitation when it comes to price. We hear things like, "I like it, but I'm not sure about the price." My response is always the same, "Well, what would you like to offer?" This is the part that can become uncomfortable for some, because negotiation for many is "uncharted territory" and there is a natural "fear" that can creep up on the person.
