A. or B.? I've noticed, more and more, you see Realtors advertising themselves instead of the homes their clients hire them to sell. The Star Advertiser in Honolulu is out of control. If I were a consumer looking through the Sunday paper here for a property to buy, it's very difficult to tell what is what. There are many more photos of Realtors than there are properties for sale. According to a recent Gallup Poll, Hawaii is home to some of the happiest people in the nation. They even took it one step further and identified "the" happiest man in America, which happens to live in Manoa here on Oahu. Alvin Wong was recently featured in the news. We have a saying here that goes "happy we live Hawaii." It's great to see our residents that participated in the poll truly believe it and enjoy their Hawaii Life...I know I do!

Forbes magazine recently ranked the safest cities in the U.S. and Honolulu came up #3! According to Forbes, Honolulu is considered to be one of the safest cities in the U.S. Plano, Texas took the top spot, followed by Portland, Oregon in second. Who would want to live there though? Change is never easy. Have you ever had someone try and get you to sell something to your friends and family and paint a picture of how you can make a ton of money overnight and you'll never live paycheck to paycheck again?

Hawaii Life Real Estate Services is making waves in the Diamond Head luxury home market. 3025 Diamond Head Road was a Vintage Bungalow In the past couple of months, there have been four single family home sales in Diamond Head. Hawaii Life Real Estate Services recently closed on two (50%) of them. hawaii life: Oahu Sales Volume and Prices Higher in March

The sales volume on Oahu continued to gain steam outpacing 2009 again. Single family home sales were up 32.1% and condo sales were up 36.4%. Prices were also slightly up with 4.2% appreciation on homes and 3.3% appreciation for condos. While volume and prices were heading up, inventory was down 23.8% across the board compared to March of last year. Sellers are also fairing better than they did a year ago, realizing 95.7% of asking prices for homes and 94.5% for condos across the board.
