Realtors...Home Buyers...Home Sellers...gather round for an honest dialog on open houses. OK, for the moment, it's a monologue. But I am hoping your equally honest (an hopefully gentle) comments will change that. I am not trying to stir up controversy...rather to get the problem and potential solution out there: I'M FED UP WITH CURRENT OPEN HOUSE METHODS AND I'M NOT GONNA TAKE IT ANY MORE! If you have not already said that about the typical open house, perhaps you should. No, I am not flaming the eco-building community. I am referring literally to GARBAGE! Piles and piles of it. Dumpsters full. Being carted off to our landfills while we do our best to install bamboo floors and paper countertops and energy star appliances. If we want to renovate responsibly, with an ever-watchful eye on greening our world...we have to figure out a way to reduce it! reuse it! recylce it! I've been getting a lot of calls about flipping houses since the WSMV Channel 4 Nashville news feature on one of the bozTEAM flip houses. Seems when they put you on the news, you are the expert. The ironic thing is that I tried hard to explain to the news guy that there are so many more expert than our team in this area. And that what we do, while technically flipping, is more like 'responsible renovation'. We are not mostly about volume (we only flip one house at a time - maybe only two or three per year) or mostly about (12 comments)
