mission beach: Mission Beach, a place in my heart

Its the time of year that I look forward to all year. A family cabin is opened up and the beauty of the area surrounds me. I usually spend the first week cleaning out the winter cobwebs and shop for supplies. It has become a tradition for one daughter to have her birthday "Cupcake celebration" the first weekend in June. No words can describe the feeling when I'm bringing my family down to the cabin, I start remembering my youth, my nana and her bucket of ice, my papa and his boat and the Beach Olympics for all to enjoy.
