Number 1 reason to go "FSBO" I believe is that you can "SAVE" the commission. Great if you can do it. However, according to the National Association Of Realtors (NAR) only about 15% succeed. How many of the 15% FSBO's do you think actually "SAVED" the commission? Certainly not all. Let's be generous here and say one third of For Sale By Owner. So, only about 5% of FSBO'S really saved the agency fee. Why is that? Let's use some logic.

Be different. It's not always better, but better IS different. Recently I bought a light that goes on at dusk and goes off 5 hours later. Then the next evening, it goes back on. It's called the listing light. You can find out more about it by goggle search. use "the listing light" Great for your yard sign.

It's the best of times, it's the worst of times. It all depends on which side of the coin you look at. If you look at a coin, you know you have three sides. Right? An obverse, reverse, and an edge. Today's financial market is similar. If you lost money, you are on one side, if you made money, you are on another side, and if you're just holding steady, I guess you could say you're on the edge. Same for Real Estate.

Check out this video clip of a beautiful recreation area, Great Kills Park. Part of the National Parks, this is known as Gateway Park, but to long time residents of Staten Island, it's just Great Kills Park. You can fly your radio controled airplane, come any sunny day when the wind is 15 miles an hour or less and see some pretty airplanes. Bring a lunch, sit on the bleachers, and watch then fly.
