Number 1 reason to go "FSBO" I believe is that you can "SAVE" the commission. Great if you can do it. However, according to the National Association Of Realtors (NAR) only about 15% succeed. How many of the 15% FSBO's do you think actually "SAVED" the commission? Certainly not all. Let's be generous here and say one third of For Sale By Owner. So, only about 5% of FSBO'S really saved the agency fee. Why is that? Let's use some logic.

Well, first, we are really a bedroom community for Manhattan. But we have over 450,000 people here. That equals or better than the whole state of Alaska. And we are only 8X16 miles, and not a rectangle either, so it's less than 128 sq. miles. I have a few video if you care to look. Mostly parks. I'm working on shopping and transportation. Be different. It's not always better, but better IS different. Recently I bought a light that goes on at dusk and goes off 5 hours later. Then the next evening, it goes back on. It's the best of times, it's the worst of times. It all depends on which side of the coin you look at. If you look at a coin, you know you have three sides. Right? An obverse, reverse, and an edge. Today's financial market is similar. If you lost money, you are on one side, if you made money, you are on another side, and if you're just holding steady, I guess you could say you're on the edge. Same for Real Estate.
