Got a problem with the city budget? Just raise taxes, that will fix it right?
O wait, didn't they try that a while ago? It seems that it's never enough. I can remember when New York City didn't have an income tax or a sales tax. That was sold to "FIX" the problem. So if it was the grand fixer, why is John Liu,
who is running for Mayor of our beautiful city, advocating for an increase in income taxes so as to give city workers and extra raise? Aren't they already getting a 3% raise yearly?

When was the last time you looked at your Will and Pension Plan? Who are your beneficiaries?
Would you believe that a New York City teacher saved over one million dollars over the 50 years she worked, and when she died, her husband received nothing? When she started working, she was single. She listed her mother, father, and sister as beneficiaries. Her mother and father had proceeded her in death, but her sister was still alive and received the entire one million dollars.
