Kansas City agent, Maria Morton has done a great job of explaining the various fees and expenses associated with the job of a real estate agent. These costs may vary state to state, but in general provide a very comprehensive accounting of what's involved. This would be a great introduction to the career prior to applying for a license. Some folks have no idea of what they're getting into. And if your association doesn't provide tech support for your computer and peripherals? You can add a little more to the equation. Why real estate? That is the question. It was asked by Deb Brooks in an Active Rain blogging challenge, to let our family, friends, clients and prospects why we chose our profession. As I reflect back, there were little indicators in my life that certainly lined up with the profession, but of course, as individual points, they didn’t stand out at the time. But look at this photo of me from Kindergarten. My Mom clearly had some kind of buttoned-up career in mind for me ;) Can't you just see this photo on a business card back then?
