How I got that many people at each event was marketing to apartment complexes with the headline that said "When Your Lease is Up, Do You Know Where You Are Going to Live?
Timing is everything!  Apartment managers will tell you that they have a 30-35% turnover of renters in the spring (and another 30% in the fall). 
What's the best time of year to hold home buying seminars? 
For me, it was the months of February, March, April and May!

I realized the other day that builders are doing something that  you're probably not doing...I think it's okay to share this with you...since I'm not mentioning any names!  
About 3 months ago, we got an order for 11 apartment mailing lists from one of the biggest builders in the country.  They wanted to "test" market a new subdivision  and send post cards to people who live in apartment complexes.

The IRS gets the final say when it comes to who gets to claim the homebuyer tax credit, who does not, and under what circumstances?   They have made a feeble attempt to update some of the FAQs posted on their website http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=206291,00.html but if it's anything like the last extension, it will take them a while to update their FAQ page.
