The months of inventory (MOI) for the Portland Metro markets, including Washington, Multnomah and Yamhill County, have remained relatively steady through August and September as the summer rush of home sales has remained steady through both months. However, the increased MOI in September for homes priced between $1,000,000 and $1,999,999 is representative of reduced buyers in this price range. What a great Christmas present! Our listing on Clubhouse Dr in Newberg just went pending on Christmas Eve!

Well, Frozen at Kelly Land is officially over and now it’s time to recuperate!
 
 
Despite the wind and having to move the entire event indoors, night two of Frozen at Kelly Land was just as big of a hit as night one!


 
Approximately 3,000 visitors came to Kelly Land over the course of both nights, with over 700 children receiving free gifts, candy, Frozen themed snow cones, and hot chocolate.
 
 

Other events included letters to Santa, trolley rides, and a big pile of snow!

 The same issue comes up every year around this time. Sellers will call me and asks if we should take their home off the market for the holidays. Why? Because they want to celebrate a religious holiday, to decorate their home and enjoy the season. And I know many brokers would give advice not to decorate for religious holidays as this may put off potential buyers. Some even recommend not listing through the holidays as there are less buyers and it can be much harder to schedule showings when sellers have guests visiting.

In the 14 plus years that I have been an agent in Newberg, OR, I have always held my annual Christmas event, Kelly Land. It takes months to organize, with extensive decorating, purchase of toys and prizes, wrapping of gifts, organization of DJs, photographers, costumes, food, and the list goes on. It takes a lot, a lot of work!
