weather: July Sales 2012 - 08/09/12 12:30 AM
In my targeted sales area, there were 395 sales in the month of July.  The average sales price was $368,829 and the average price per square foot was $179.35 per square foot.  On average listings are staying on the market 190 days.
School is right around the corner and with kids and parents all rushing to end their summer vacations, sales generally slow a bit in the month of August and will pick up again in September.
We have had a lot of rain in the Panhandle this year.  We are no longer in a drought.

weather: June Sales Figures Out -- Walton, County Florida - 07/12/12 01:41 AM
While lot sales soared in the month of June, it is mainly due to DR Horton buying failed subdivisions that are just hitting the market as distressed properties.  DR just closed on 68 lots in Cypress Breeze Planatation.  Talk about a great place to build.  They will be soon selling homes in there from the low $200,000 to the mid $300,000 and it is only a mile to the beaches of S. Walton.  Looking for a buyer's agent to help you through this?  Look no further.  I can assist you with the process and make sure that your interests are protected.

weather: Hot, Hot, Hot - 06/16/11 01:19 AM
Yes, I am talking about the weather for the most part.  Temperatures in our local area have been pretty hot this year with temperatures near 90 everyday.  The cool Gulf winds from the Gulf of Mexico saves us though and in the evenings it does get back down in the 70s.  We have not seen much in the rainfall this year.  We are behind our averages in this area.  Storms skirt us here at the beach, but most of them are to the North of us.  There is a 20% chance of a thunderstorm over the next 7 days in the … (2 comments)

weather: Thanksgiving at the Beach - 11/23/10 12:37 AM
It seems to be warmer than normal this Thanksgiving.  In my area, there will be plenty of visitors at the beach, on the golf course, boating and fishing.  Red Snapper and Triggerfish are abundant at this time of the year in the Gulf of Mexico.
My nail technician yesterday commented that the house is going to be so warm this year when her family comes to visit that they may even have to run their air conditioning.  This is highly unusual in late November.
It is already evident that the visitors are in town and occupancy rates are way up.  It … (2 comments)

weather: Fall has arrived at the Coast - 09/28/10 03:10 AM
Just a glorious day today with temperatures in the high 60s this morning and warming up to 82 this afternoon.  October is my favorite time of the year at the beach.  Just absolutely beautiful here.  Butterflys are migrating on their way to Mexico and arrive in our area about this time yearly.  All of my doors and windows are open with a delightful breeze coming through the office this morning.  I can't imagine anyone wanting to live somewhere other than here.
Here is photo from my morning walk today.

Hope to see you at the Beach !
