I am always excited to discover a new coffee shop and experience their unique character, ambiance and coffee expression(s). Today I wanted to introduce you to an old friend, the Black Bear Coffee Shop. "The Bear" opened in January 1999 the the intention of creating a place where friends, teachers, neighbors and anyone wanting to stop in could come together, have a great cup of coffee or tea and a warm welcome. Today while driving through Colorado Springs I passed a campground with RV's pulled in, lawn chairs out and grills going -- it was almost 70 today and an absolutely perfect day. The RV campground reminded me of a business woman here in Colorado Springs that helps people create meaningful moments for special people in their lives. In this case, she does workshops around the country called "Romance in an RV". For the past couple of weeks I have caught myself driving West on Hwy 24 and being mesmerized by an unusually shaped building on the corner of Highway 24 and 21st Street. What are they doing my mind continued to ask? You might want to know why I would even notice? If you have ever visted Colorado Springs you might have stopped by here for a tour, shopping or just curiousity. This corner has been one of the top tourist attractions in Colorado Springs. I have been thinking about what happens when markets change and how we as people respond to news. What I believe and wanted to find out is are there still special properties available? Yesterday I took off driving to preview some homes that I thought looked unique and had something special about them. My first house answered that question.
