hawaii: Big Island News - 'Start Fishing, Start Fishing, Start Fishing!' - 07/27/06 04:51 AM
No - I'm not talking about marketing or lead generation.  Just wanted to share a little more about my island home.  The Big Island tends to get comments from people about not having much to do, but there is tons to do if you don't need a major shopping mall :-)  So I like to let people know about as many of the activities and events that one can participate in!
Did you know that Kona is the home to fabulous sport fishing and of the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament.  This year marks the 47th Annual tournament, and even if you don't go out on … (3 comments)

hawaii: BIG ISLAND NEWS - Kona Kai Ola Moves Forward - 07/19/06 05:30 AM
Another new waterfront luxury project here on the Big Island.  Keep in mind - if you or anyone you know is considering oceanfront property on the Big Island the sooner they get into the market the better.  More and more of the oceanfront has been developed AND sold, so prices continue to climb higher and higher.  Anyone getting into the market now and in the very near future will be happy they did so, because despite the volcano doing its best, what is existing in oceanfront land will be what is available in oceanfront land.
Here is information on the new project … (1 comments)

The Hawaii County Transit Authority is proposing a free shuttle bus looping exclusively through the Waimea and Waikoloa areas, possibly starting sometime this fall.Transit Authority director Tom Brown and Kohala Councilman Pete Hoffmann outlined preliminary plans for … (1 comments)

The Big Island Market has seen incredible growth over the last 3 to 5 years, development continues to keep on coming.  However, the rising property values and prices took a lot of the local people out of the market - no opportunity to buy and if owners no ability to sell and step up to a little bettrer home.  We are just now starting to see some of the afforadable housing projects start to come to realization.  Note the "affordable" condo price of $284,600!!!  If you know anyone on the Big Island who may be able to qualify for this let me know.  A … (3 comments)
