The Jackson Hole Ski Season Has Begun! We're not where we were last year for total snowfall, but we're well above average. The resort opened this last weekend with all but the Tram and Sublette chairs. This weekend, the Sublette chair will be up and running! We are only behind Grand Targhee over the hill as far as total snowfall with over 7 Feet. Check out this guy that was hanging around our place a couple weeks ago!

The Spring here has been fairly uneventful! The weather has been as nasty as it can be with snow, rain and not much sun to speak of. The good news is that sales are up drastically from last year at this point in time! From January 1,2009 to June 1, 2009 there were 40 sales in Teton County. This year there have been 98 sales in Teton County. There have been 7 sales over $4 million this year as compared to 2 at 3 at the same period last year. This guy has been hanging out down the street from my office. People are always asking, "Do you think the market has hit bottom?" My response a few weeks ago would most definitely have been no. I have done a little research this morning and now I am not so sure. In the last couple of months from January 2, 2010 to today I know that there have been 24 closings in Teton County. Jackson Hole is still leading the Rockies along with Grand Targhee in total snowfall. We received 9 inches last night to put us at 324 total inches fallen. More snow is expected on Saturday.
