The Town of Davidson will celebrate the Halloween season on Friday, October 26 starting at 5:00 p.m. with our traditional Halloween March along Main Street. Families should line up at town hall to parade along main street to receive treats from merchants and organizations. Special thanks to our Davidson merchants and businesses for supporting this great event. We look forward to seeing you in costume! Regular Halloween trick-or-treating around town will still take place on October 31.

Davidsons' new $3 million upgrade to I-77 Exit 30 is moving forward. It will add full-width pedestrian and bicycle lanes to the the entire length of the bridge, as well as new roundabouts at the northbound and southbound ramps. The project will take place in 2 phases. The first phase will widen the bridge for the six-foot-wide pedestrian and 12-foot-wide bicycle lanes on either side. The second phase will add flashing pedestrian controlled beacons at the northbound interstate on-ramp to alert traffic of cyclists and pedestrians using the multi-use path, roundabouts on either side of the bridge, and mature trees and landscaping along the bridge.
