Sellers: What are the Buyers Saying Behind Your Back?
 
 My grandmother always said that what someone says behind your back is none of your business.  But when you are selling your home, not knowing can cause your home to stay on the market longer than it should and sell for less. And I don't know of any seller that wants to have their home expire and not know why.

At the time of the listing consultation, we talked about the importance of making your home sparkle.  The importance that buyers put on cleanliness and move in ready will ultimately determine the price that they are willing to pay.  Getting your home in "sparkle" condition takes work or money to pay someone to do it for you.  But it pays off with an offer.

We all have had to prepare for it.  It is looming, inevitable.  The house has been on the market for 30 days or more and there is just no activity.  You remember that your agent talked about this at the listing appointment....that in 30 days, you would need to sit down and have THAT conversation. 
Could it be the time of year?  Could it be that you should have listened to the price your agent recommended initially?  Could it be that there is more competition now than when your home entered the market?
