I feel compelled to share a recent experience that I had as a buyer's agent in Cedar Rapids this past weekend. This is the third instance of this practice that I have seen so far this spring in this price point.

Whether you are in Charlotte or in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor, it IS a seller's market. And it is tough for buyers out there in certain neighborhoods and price points. Decisions need to be made quickly or other buyers will beat you to it!

Steve makes some great points in this timely post. Timing is everything! And there are advantages that exist for both buyers and sellers at any time of the year. Particularly in winter, sellerd may see less activity, but the QUALITY of the activity is better. After all, no one wants to move in the dead of winter. Where on the flip side, summer time means "lets go to some open houses and get decorating ideas".... it is all dependent on your personal timeline. Whether you are relocating from another state or you are moving within the market area, there is always some adjustments to be made! My focus is on the well-being and safety of your family. A house is very important, but making the Cedar Rapids area your home takes a little more effort. My clients call me long after the closing for advice on a veternarian for their new puppy or the best daycares in the area. Meeting new people is always fun for me and I love my job!
