Before I fell in love with real estate, I was in the corporate world. (Commercial insurance to be exact) There was an unwritten set of expectations and I assumed that those expectations would translate to the business world of real estate. I was mistaken, and that is my pet peeve.

I can see the New Year on the horizon. This is the last day of this great challenge.. I’m a little bit sad. I have used this challenge to push myself to get on the elliptical (almost) everyday. Regular work again. I found it difficult to find people today. I needed a prequalification…difficult. I needed the county…difficult. I needed an agent that speaks Portuguese…difficult difficult difficult. It’s not a holiday today people! There is absolutely no way to sell real estate by yourself.
It takes a village.

I don’t know what happened today, but I was SO READY to work. I am usually ready to work, but this morning I couldn’t wait. Hurray For Monday! I hardly ever say that. But boy was I ever ready for “REGULAR” I met with a first time buyer. We got him pre qualified last week, went looking after lunch, saw 7 and wrote an offer on a bank owned perfect first time buyer home this evening. I love that part of my job.

I am sad Christmas is gone, I’m glad its over, I’m unusually homesick and I’m all fired up to get back to the regular routine tomorrow. The day before Christmas. The time before lunch was spent baking, wrapping, cleaning and getting ready for tomorrow. After lunch it was all about “visiting” We brought cookies to friends, clients, and a couple of unexpected places. 31 days of December Challenge Day 23 Thursday, December 23, Elliptical – yes, yes, yes and I went further today than I have all month.
My little bird was out of school for holiday, so real estate happened out of the home office, with big help from my big helper. I have a headset for the phone called “the boom”. I LOVE IT. Today was not a regular work day. I got in at 6:00, and left at 9:45. The office was extraordinarily quiet…no one was stirring, not even a mouse. I think I got more done because of the deadline to leave early. Then at 10:30 Preschool Christmas party Woo Hoo. Those 4 year olds can shake it up! No working today. It is a personal policy that keeps me strong and sane. In my Sunday school class (4 year olds) we decorated cookies for them to give as gifts…What a Blast that was!
